Educational establishments require that systems be incredibly simple to use. Busy lecturers often don't have time to sit and learn the intricacies of a system so an intuitive GUI is essential. A single touch of a button can be programmed to completely set up a room ready for a lecture. Lights on, projector on, screen down, audio on, volume levels set, leaving the teachers with little else to think about but teaching. Another single press and the room is reset and ready for the next use.

AV staff are often called unneccesarily across campus to solve simple issues, and by integrating AMX and Crestron systems securely into the campus network, it is possible for tech staff to remotely control a lecture theatre or classroom from their desk.

An interesting job situated in the Chapel at a private school. The service can be routed to a selection of 6 screens dotted around the chapel and a projector in an adjactent room. The camera system was configured with a series of presets allowing the operator to quickly change the viewed image to suit the content of the presentation. Any combination of the 16 microphone points in the room can be set up from the Crestron touchpanel. The system was programmed using 6 QM-RMC processors.

Thre lecture halls were programmed at a well known university in London. One touch control provides the lecturers with easy access to all the sources they need. The Lutron lighting system is integrated into the system. In addition, VNC access to the touch panels gives the AV staff remote control of all three rooms allowing them to set up the halls for lectures without ever leaving their office.
